THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, based on the classic novel Le Fantôme de L’Opéra by Gaston Leroux, set in magnificent Paris in the 19th century, tells the tale of a musical genius known only as ‘The Phantom’ who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House.  Mesmerized by the talents and beauty of a young soprano – Christine, the Phantom lures her as his protégé and falls fiercely in love with her. Unaware of Christine’s love for Raoul, the Phantom’s obsession sets the scene for a dramatic turn of events where jealousy, madness and passions collide.  Andrew Lloyd Webber's critically acclaimed musical has won over 70 major theatre awards and has taken the world by storm with over 13,900 performances on Broadway.  Seen by over 160 million people worldwide, the world's most popular musical, which made its London's West End debut in 1986, celebrates 37 years this October.   The Royal Commission for Riyadh City and Broadway Entertainment Group bring this latest production to Riyadh with a cast, crew and orchestra of 100 - 130 members, paired with breathtaking scenery to bring the show to life
