ميوزيك هول Beirut, لبنان
Originally from South Mali, this singer is untamable, and always willing to take risks. Whether she is crooning through her soft ballads, or jumping on stage with a wild energy feeding off her funk tunes, FATOU manages to captivate her audience at every single one of her concerts. Fatou has worked with some of the biggest legends of the music industry: she sang with Roberto Fonseca (Buena Vista Social Club), wrote songs with Mulatu Astate, and has performed a number of times with the illustrious American Rap group: The Roots. Her three albums have become the cultural reference of a “New Africa.” She is the voice of Kirikou in “Kirikou and Karaba,” one of the most popular musicals of the past few years. Fatou is also behind the soundtrack of the movie “Timbuktu,” winner of the Prix du Jury at the Cannes Festival, and nominated at the Academy Awards in 2015. ALL INFOS: www.facebook.com/LIBANJAZZ
