Julien Dassin is the son of American singer and songwriter Joe Dassin who enjoyed international success in the 60s and 70s, particularly in the French-speaking world. Julien Dassin takes care of the management of his father's image, memory and music. It is in this perspective that he embarked on a musical career in 2010, in the show event Once upon a time ... Joe Dassin: he sings alongside talented talents like Cécilia Cara. This musical has been staged by the filmmaker Christophe Barratier to whom we owe Les Choristes (2004) and the already very musical Faubourg 36 (2008). Once upon a time ... Joe Dassin is a success and goes on tour all over France from 2010 to 2012. On January 30, 2012, the tribute album Monsieur Montand is released, in which Julien Dassin and Florence Coste take on the greatest songs of the singer such as La Bicyclette or Le Temps des cerises. The record climbs to 34th place in sales in February 2012.
