Yanni's first visit to Lebanon is part of his World Without Borders tour. Accompanied by an orchestra of virtuoso musicians and vocalists, he will play his greatest hits to fans from all over the region.
His music has brought hundreds of fellow world citizens together via his concerts, with countless more inspired by his music through television broadcasts. Yanni's best-known show is the television special Live at the Acropolis. Seen in 65 countries by half a billion people, it is the second best-selling music video of all time (after Michael Jackson's Thriller). This show made him a household name with sold-out shows around the world.
In 2009 he released Voices, an album that brought vocalists to the forefront of his compositions for the first time. It was a huge success: the tour that followed was one of the highest-grossing of his career and all his subsequent tours have included vocalists.
After The Taj Mahal in India, The Forbidden City in China and The Royal Albert Hall in England, Yanni will put the Byblos Citadel under his spell. The Festival has exceptionally moved to this historical site for the entire 2013 season making these two performances - in the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world - even more magical.
