Winner of both the best short film in the Orizzonti section in Venice and best international short film in Toronto, Snow in September is a restrained drama about a Mongolian teenage boy (Sukhbat Munkhbaatar) who has teasing conversations with his classmate about love and manga images of women. When he meets an older woman who claims to be a friend of his mother’s, Davka realises his ideas of relationships and intimacy are about to change.
