Jabal al-Lawz is located in northwestern Saudi Arabia near Jordan's border and above the Gulf of Aqaba. It consists of granite mountains whose height is not less than 20 meters at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level, and they rise from 700 meters to a maximum of 2549 meters. Jebel al-Lawz is dotted with permanent running water and rocky mountain habitats dense with vegetation in some places. Jabal al-Lawz is characterized by a tremendous amount of biodiversity, as it includes a large number of birds, mammals, and different types of plants, such as biflora and other most famous plants in the Arabian Peninsula
