HUGH COLTMAN 7 Jun.18 (Thurs)

Hugh Coltman wins the “VOICE OF THE YEAR” award at the "Victoires de la Musique" (French Grammys) in 2017 for his blues tribute record, covering Nat King Cole and many other iconic names. Notably, his electrifying live version of Nina Simone’s “Sinnerman” quickly becomes an instant classic.
In 2018, he records yet another critically acclaimed album in a Louisiana church entitled “Who’s Happyæ”
Accompanied by his old partner in crime Freddy Koella (guitarist for Bob Dylan and Lhasa, just to name a few), and a killer brass band of 8 musicians, Coltman’s new project is set to headline some of the most prestigious jazz festivals of the upcoming summer.
The band will be live with Liban Jazz at Music Hall on June 7 for an extremely rare display of Blues and Jazz excellence.
