Manel Mallat is born on August 22, 1987 in Tunisia.
She comes from a rich cultural background with a Lebanese father and a half French, half Italian mother.
She started her musical career at the age of 5. “The first song I sang was dedicated to my mom. As soon as I got a microphone in my hand, I knew this is what I wanted to do”.
A fan of such diverse artists as Whitney Houston, Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Scorpions, Shakira, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Adele, Michael Buble, Ella Fitzgerald and Beyonce, Manel’s voice of soul is set to resonate with all those who hear it.
Edith Piaf, Lara Fabian, Charles Aznavour, Garou, Patrick Bruel and Jacques Brel are some of the French singing artists that have inspired her. Warda, Majida el Roumi, Fairouz, Zekra, Sabah Fakhri and Kazem El Saher are some of her idols in the Arab world.
Manel has brought music and song into her home and into the heart of Heartbeat (www.heartbeat-lb.org), a humanitarian association that aids children who are born with heart disease. She is both a committee member and a lead soloist and has brought a great deal of musical and humanitarian contribution.
Her school and university years proved instructive as it gave her an outlet to pursuing music. Since then, she stood before the crowds, won many talent shows and Awards for representing Lebanon in International competitions. She is currently enrolled in the Film Making and Directing program at the St. Joseph University.
She loves to dance, travel, read and has a passion for fashion.
Anchoring it all together, Manel’s incredible voice, courage, and ambition have opened many doors and have allowed her to pursue her dreams no matter what the price. This bring her to yet another challenge, that of participating in MBC’s “Arab’s Got Talent”
Her first audition proved to be a complete success as she revived the memory of Edith Piaf’s epic “Hymne à l'amour" and Tina Turner’s “Simply the best” which went beyond the public’s recognition and double standing ovations, and impressed the judges of the show.
