Justin Bieber has had one hell of a year, but apparently he's ready to own up to his mistakes.
The "Confident" singer posted a dimly lit video to Facebook Wednesday in which he opened up about his past behavior. In the emotionally charged apology, Justin said sorry for his "arrogant" and "conceited" behavior.
He posted his video soon after a surprise visit to Ellen where he confessed to being "nervous" about appearing on TV. He had been noticeably absent from the small screen for quite awhile.
"I think I was nervous because I was afraid of what people are thinking about me right now," he explained in the video. "It's been a minute since I've been in a public appearance, and I didn't want to come off arrogant or conceited or basically how I've been acting the past year, year and a half."
The "Baby" singer, who launched to fame when he was just a young teenager, has had several run-ins with the law, including a DUI arrest, vandalism charges and assault charges.
"I'm not what I was pretending to be. Why I say I was 'pretending' is often we pretend to be something we're not as a cover up of what we're truly feeling inside. And there was a lot of feelings going on in there," he continued. "Just being young and growing up in this business is hard. Just growing up in general is hard."
He continued to explain that he "felt awkward" when he was on set with host Ellen DeGeneres because he felt that people were "judging" him.
"...I really want people to know how much I care, how much I care about people, and how I'm not that person to say, 'I don't give a f--k,' you know? I'm not that kid, I'm a person who genuinely cares," he added.
When he surprised Ellen, she asked why he wanted to so badly be roasted by Comedy Central (she said she was asked to be part of it, but declined), and he explained that it was because he wanted to be able to laugh at himself.
"I've done some things," he said, adding, "That might not of been the greatest."
"Really. Nothing comes to mind," Ellen joked. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"I just want to be able to...just kind own up to some of the things," he admitted.
Between the Facebook video and his confessions to Ellen, it looks like Beliebers might get the "One Time" singer back!
